Welcome

Families, friends, staff, volunteers and supporters of paediatric rehabilitation were warmly invited to attend the 2024 Kids Rehab Golf Day on Friday 1st March, at Oatlands Golf Club.

This years golf day was no exception to previous events. We had a record number of players competing in the golf competion, all in great spirits and quite a selection turning up in their fancy dress costumes. The weather was kind, the oncourse activites were fun and the consumption of beer, ice-cream, chips, nut bars and chocolates kept players well nourished and hydrated, thanks to our incredible product sponsors. Our MC Steve Edge and Auctioneer Toby Llewellyn did a stellar job hosting the post golf lunch and ensured the fun continued well after the golf. There were lots of laughs, insane comp results, but most importantly $60K net profit was raised for rehabilitation services at the SCHN Westmead & Randwick.

We would like to sincerely thank all our amazing supporters, donors and sponsors for their unwavering loyalty and contribution over the years, with particular mention to our Platinum Sponsor MAX Build and Gold Sponsor McGrath Subaru Liverpool & Popink who continue to make the golf day possible with their incomparable generosity and support! The success of the event would not be possible without the benevolence of our sponsors and we are truly grateful for everyone’s contribution in making this event exceptional!

Images of the event have been uploaded to the 2024 Kids Rehab Golf Day photo gallery.

To help celebrate our 16th year anniversay, we are already in the process of organising another action packed day full of activities, novelty and entertainment. There will be lots of giveaways, prizes and an opportunity to secure some fabulous items from both the live auction and raffle.

Funds raised from the Golf Day will go toward the Liam O’Flaherty Fellowship Trust Fund which was established to assist Rehab Clinicians including Nurses and Therapists gain further training in the area of Paediatric Disabilities across both rehab departments (Westmead & Randwick) for the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network

The care of children with physical disabilities is continually changing and requires staff to be trained and skilled in a range of treatments and therapies. Money raised at the Golf Day is directly used in the ongoing education of SCHN Rehab staff that may not otherwise have the opportunity to further their knowledge. To date, this has included attendance at conferences, workshop training and university courses. In this way, the Golf Day contributes to a high level of professional practice that children and their families deserve.

We look forward to welcoming you all to the 2025 Kids Rehab Golf Day in what is sure to be another sell-out event!
